You do not have to be a member to play real tennis at the Hyde. We would prefer that you are, simply as it helps us to maintain our fantastic building and protect it for future generations. It also provides some great benefits for you.
Anyone can book a court with us and pay a guest fee (unless playing with a current member) and rackets are available to hire. We also provide the balls, so you only need to turn up with some clean indoor court shoes and you will ready to play!
If you would like to try the game before deciding about membership we have an introductory offer of 2 lessons for the price of 1 with one of our professionals, including racket hire. If positive, you can take up an offer of three further lessons for £75 with the pros who will be happy to provide detail about technique, rules, game play and history of the game.
We welcome all playing standards and ages and offer coaching, playing opportunities and competitions to suit everyone.

What is the difference between Full and Full Associate membership?
The Tennis and Rackets Association (T&RA), the game's governing body, requires members to make a contribution towards the funding of the website Real Tennis Online (RTO). This is owned and provided by the T&RA worldwide and is the sole service which provides players with both handicaps and access to the on-line booking system. As such, all regular players are members of the T&RA in some capacity.
Some of our members elect to take out their own individual membership of the T&RA and as such are considered as Full Members of the HRTC (£200 per annum). However, the majority of our players are joined up, by the HRTC, to the T&RA as Associate members – our Full Associate category of membership (£225). This means that we are collecting and forwarding, to the T&RA, a contribution of £28 per annum per adult and £15.25 for under 21 and full-time students.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is "Membermojo"?
This is a club membership software that many other sporting clubs use for on-line applications and renewals, electronic payment, a central member database and group e-mail distribution, It is fully GDPR compliant.
Why is HRTC using "membermojo"?
We were keen to use an on-line membership tool for ease of use for our members and for us to be able to keep accurate and secure membership information and records. Hopefully, you will find it easy to use, but if you're having any issues at all, please contact Jay Turvill on email@example.com
Can I pay by cheque or bank transfer?
When you get to the payment page, you can select to pay by either of these methods and instructions are given. We will confirm your membership once the cheque / bank transfer is received.
Can I pay by Direct Debit?
At this stage, only those members with previous Direct Debit arrangements in place will be able to pay by this method. However, we are hoping to offer this method for the 20/21 season.
Can I pay using a credit or debit card?
Not yet, but again, in time for the 20/21 season, we are intending to provide either a Swipe or Paypal facility.
Is it possible to pay my membership by instalments?
We are investigating the possibility of providing an automated quarterly payment option in time for the 20/21 season. In the meantime, if this is preventing your renewal / joining, please contact Jay Turvill on firstname.lastname@example.org
Do you have a preferred payment method?
We would prefer that you pay by bank transfer rather than cheque – lower fees and less paperwork!
Do you have pro rata joining fees?
Membership fees are full price until 30th of November each year. New members joining between 1st December and 28th February are entitled to a 25% discount of the relevant membership fee; those joining between 1st March and 31st May are entitled to a 50% discount. New members joining after 1st June will get up to 15 months membership for the price of 12.

How do I change my membership category or any other information?
When you login to membermojo, you can change any of your information by clicking on “Your Membership” at the top of the home page and then you can edit and confirm any details, view payment history and set or change your password.
